I was able to help paint a recreation of the mural “Teatro Campesino” in 1968 by Antonio Bernal. He is considered to be the first Chicano muralist. This recreation mural was led by Mauro Carrea followed by the help of myself, Steven Camacho, and Juan Bejar. It was after this mural, that I knew I wanted to be a muralist.
